Start with how you want to live.
The purchase price is a starting point. Think about a monthly payment you can live with, the cash you have available and when you want to move. Leave room for the costs of owning the home after closing.
Three things to bring to the first conversation.
- Your target location, property type and approximate timeline.
- The monthly housing payment you want to explore and the cash you expect to use.
- Questions about the proof of income you need, a home you already own or anything else on your mind.
Compare the whole loan.
When you have loan offers, review the payment, interest rate, closing costs and loan terms together. Your loan officer can explain what is included in each estimate and what could change.
When you are ready to apply, we will show you how to send documents securely. Please do not email Social Security numbers or financial documents.
Put local relationships behind your offer.
We know the local market and have relationships with the real estate agents who work here. We can work with your chosen agent to clarify the financing plan and, with your permission, address financing questions from the listing side. That communication can help build confidence in your offer.
